ALBERT LEA — An Oakland man was sentenced to a year in jail Thursday in Freeborn County District Court for engaging in sexual conduct with a girl younger than 13 last fall.
Michael Robert Lee, 52, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct in December tied to a September incident.
District Court Judge Steven Schwab gave Lee credit for 182 days served, leaving 183 days to serve.
Schwab gave Lee a stayed sentence of three years in prison, and he was placed on supervised probation for up to 25 years.
With a stayed execution, Lee can avoid a prison sentence if he follows court requirements.
Lee was originally charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct tied to two separate incidents, one in July and one in September. The first count, tied to the July incident, was dismissed with a plea deal.
