Austin junior Amber Hansen set a new Austin High School record in the shot put as the Packers won the three-team Faribault girls track and field invite Tuesday.

Hansen threw the shot put at a distance of 40 feet, 11.25 inches to win the meet and set a new Packer standard. The former record was set by Beth Morem in 1983.

Austin’s Odongonga Oball won the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash, Madison Overby won the 800-meter run, Colie Justice won the 1600-meter run, Abby Lewis won the 3200-meter run, Rachel Quandt, who broke the Dean Bishop meet record on Saturday, won the 100-meter hurdles, Paige Raymond won the 300-meter hurdles, Isabel Leuer won the high jump, and Sydney Marsh won the pole vault, long jump and triple jump.
