Bruce B. Storey, 74, of Austin, Minnesota, died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Rochester, Methodist Campus.

Bruce Barton Storey was born Nov. 13, 1941, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, the son of Marl and Ann (Jeske) Storey. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Jeffers High School in 1960. He continued his education at Mankato State University and later at Winona State University. On Nov. 23, 1963, he was united in marriage to Connie Allen in Alden, Minnesota. During Bruce’s career in banking, the couple made their home in Hutchinson, Hastings, Blooming Prairie, Mabel and Ellendale, before moving to Austin in 1986. Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Minnesota sports fan. He spent his free time gardening, mowing, fishing and collecting toy tractors. He was a member of Bethlehem Free Methodist Church in Austin.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Storey of Austin; two sons, Reed Storey of Austin, and Greg (Lisa) Storey of Rochester; a brother, Roger (Judy) Storey of Faribault; brothers-in-law, Mick Schneider of St. Joseph, and Dick (Marty) Allen of Emmons; sisters-in-law, Carmen Steele of Albert Lea, Mona Wright of Stewartville, Bonnie (Ronnie) Herrick of Kasson, and Donna Allen of Albert Lea; also many nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marl and Ann Storey; sister, Zoe Schneider; parents-in-law, Ed and Hazel Allen; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Ole and Betty Allen, and Jerry Allen.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Bethlehem Free Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Steele and Pastor Steve Munger, officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
