Austin’s Noah Bawek came up with a big time moment as the Packer boys golf team finished eighth out of 16 teams at the Bryon Invite Monday.
Bawek, who finished with a score of 86, had a hole in one on hole No. 13. Bawek used a seven iron to ace the 173 yard, Par 3 hole.
“He was really pumped,” Austin head coach Matt Raso said of Bawek’s ace. “It’s a lifetime memory and he’ll never forget that he got a hole in one at a high school meet at a nice, tough course.”
As a team, the Packers finished with a score of 340 and Faribault Bethlehem Academy won the meet with a 319. Jace Greenman led Austin with a 79.
“The greens were huge and we don’t really have the size of the greens they have,” Raso said. “That proved a problem for some of our guys.”
Austin scoring: Jace Greenman, 79; James Snee, 85; Noah Bawek, 86; Ryan Kempen, 89; Ethan Morey, 91; Matt Neuman, 91
