A wallet was snatched off the street from a man on March 26.

A man had his wallet out on the 500 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest when three males got out of a white sporty vehicle with a black stripe over the hood, approached him and grabbed it from him, according to Austin Police Captain Dave McKichan.

The victim and a witness flagged down a police officer who was driving by shortly after the incident.

The man told police the men didn’t get away with any money, just identification and other documents.

The witness gave a similar report and thought the vehicle could have been a Ford Mustang.

Police have not located the suspects at this time, McKichan said.
