Shirley Maud Brooks, formerly of Austin, Minnesota, passed away Feb. 25, 2016, in Bellflower, California. She was 97 years old.

Shirley was born in Farmer, South Dakota, on May 27, 1918. She worked at the Hormel Plant and Sears. Her hobby was gardening and she loved the Atlanta Braves. Her husband, Earl Brooks, taught business at Austin High School.
