FARGO, N.D. — Police say a fourth person in the Fargo-Moorhead area has died from an apparent heroin overdose.
A 20-year-old man died Tuesday night on the Minnesota side of the Red River in Moorhead. Police Lt. Tory Jacobson says first responders tried to revive the man with an opiate antidote but didn’t succeed.
Jacobson says it’s likely the heroin was laced with another drug, making it more deadly, similar to a string of recent overdoses in the area responsible for three other deaths in the past month.
Jacobson says that paramedics within the past week also have responded to two other heroin overdoses in Moorhead in which the opiate antidote was administered successfully.
