MINNEAPOLIS — The dog that was shot multiple times in the face in Stearns County is up for adoption.
The owners have surrendered the dog to the Tri-County Humane Society, which nursed him back to health. The owners say they can no longer care for the dog — a yellow lab named Remington. He was found shot six times last month, possibly by a pellet gun. The perpetrators haven’t been found. But, there’s a $1,550 reward for information leading to an arrest.
The owners say Remington is a farm dog who likes to roam. He’s currently living with a foster family. The humane society says three deposits have already been made by people hoping to adopt the dog.
