Austin grad AJ Nywesh became the 12th leading scorer in Lake Region State College history as he scored his 1,000th career point in a 107-99 loss to United Tribes Tech. Monday.

Nywesh scored 20 points and he added five rebounds and five assists on the loss.

He is averaging 20.8 points per game while shooting 42 percent from the field, 38 percent on 3-pointers and 83 percent on free throws.
