Diana Lee Rinaldi, 87

Diana Lee Rinaldi, 87

She was born Feb. 14, 1929, in Austin, Minnesota, to Donald and Helen (Arens) Meighan. Following high school, Diana pursued a modeling career in New York City where she met her husband, Louie. They were married on Sept. 8, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York. Louie and Diana decided to raise their family in Austin, Minnesota. Diana was a very caring person who loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for pets. She was everyone’s number one supporter and loved attending all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Her interest and special knack for fashion led her to work in retail clothing where she helped her clients look their best. One of her hobbies included creating drawings and paintings which included many of her own fashion designs. She also enjoyed playing card games of Pinochle and Kings in the Corner and especially loved her card parties with her mother and aunts. She picked up a love of dolls from her mother and had a beautiful collection, some of which she handmade. Being an avid Vikings, Twins, and Timberwolves fan, she enjoyed watching and listening to the games. Later in life, she grew extremely fond of Josh Groban, the singer, and would listen to his music for hours.

Diana is survived by her son, Christopher, Spring Grove, Minnesota; sons and daughters-in-law: Richard and Mary Rinaldi, Lyle, Minnesota, Robert and Denise Rinaldi, Owatonna, Minnesota; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Larry Day, Austin; daughter-in-law, Kristen Soltvedt Rinaldi, St. Paul, Minnesota; sisters and brothers-in-law: Dallas and Spiro Davis, Grimes, Iowa; LuAnn and Larry Leonard, Blaine, Minnesota; brother Donald Meighan, Yakima, Washington; grandchildren: Mario, Brandon, Logan, Dayton, Dominic, Angela, Elizabeth, Joseph, Kayla, and Anthony; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
