Two Austin residents were injured around 1:12 p.m. Thursday after a vehicle rear-ended a tow truck on Interstate 90 in eastern Freeborn County.

Rosanna Ray, 31, was driving east in a Chevy Venture when the vehicle lost control on a slushy stretch of I-90 one mile west of the Freeborn and Mower county line, according to Minnesota State Patrol. The car rear-ended an unoccupied tow truck that was stopped to pull a vehicle out of the median.

A state trooper was reportedly present.
