Southland girls get past Falcons as Smith nets 16

The Southland girls basketball team was able to hold off Fillmore Central (7-8 overall, 2-7 Three Rivers) 46-42 in Adams Friday.
Gabby Smith had a career-high 16 points for the Rebels (4-7 overall, 4-5 Three Rivers).
“They’re probably the best man to man defense we faced all year. They wouldn’t let us cut free,” Southland head coach Dean Bendtsen said of FC.
