Minnesota man faces charges of raping 10-year-old in NYC

NEW YORK — The NYPD says a 24-year-old Minnesota man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a 10-year-old girl in Brooklyn.
Police say Edwin Caizaguano, of Minneapolis, faces multiple charges including rape, predatory sexual assault against a child and sexual misconduct.
He was apprehended on Tuesday in Saint Paul, Minnesota, by the NYPD’s Fugitive Apprehension Team.
Police say the alleged crime occurred last October inside a Brooklyn residence. The victim is recovering but required surgery after the alleged assault.
The suspect also is known as Patricio Caizaguano.
It wasn’t immediately known if he has a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
