Girls basketball: Vikings step up the defense in win over Lourdes

The Hayfield girls basketball team was able to get past Rochester Lourdes (5-6 overall, 3-3 HVL) 44-30 on the road Friday.
The Vikings (9-4 overall, 6-2 HVL) held the Eagles to 10 points in the second half. Carrie Rutledge led Hayfield with 16 points.
