Mower County is ready to kickoff its 2016 work.

The county board will hold its first meeting of the new year at 1 p.m. Tuesday in board room in the basement of the Mower County Government Center, 201 First Street NE.

The board will elect a new 2016 chair — expected to be 2nd District Commissioner Polly Glynn — and a vice chair.

The board will also divvy out committee assignments, set a variety of fees and pick a legal publisher.
