Cold temperatures apparently aren’t enough to deter burglaries.
Officers responded to the 800 block of Second Avenue Southwest for a report of a burglary and theft, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.
The victim told police he left the house at 7 p.m. Sunday and returned at 7:30 p.m. to find that a 45-inch Vizio TV and an Xbox 360 had been taken from the residence. The items are valued at $670.
It is not known how the suspect had gotten in the residence. The victim said the door was secured when he left the house, but when he came back, he noticed the door was not locked.
His roommate was out-of-state at the time of the incident. No suspects have been identified at this time.
