Austin Cotillion Dance Club
T’was 24 days before Christmas
when all through the house
all creatures were stirring, and
maybe the mouse.
The Tables were set with absolute care,
In hopes that all dancers
would soon be there.
The children were nestled all
snug in their beds;
While visions of dinner and dance
were in mom’s and dad’s head.
So, dash away, dash away, dash away
we go.
Where all is in readiness
and friends all in tow.
The fun begins, with merriment
and chatter,
Then dinner is served on a
lavished food platter.
The dance music begins and sets the mood
to all different tunes
the band did include.
Dance away, dance away
Brenda and Harry
Swing away and swing again
Diane and Terry
Twirl away, twirl again
Marge and John
The two-step is good
Alice and Ron
And good time we have
we all agree.
When life brings good gifts
of camaraderie
Dash away now into the night.
Recalling our words as we drove out of sight.
Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night.
