The Southland boys basketball team beat Plainview-Elgin-Millville (1-3 overall, 1-3 Three Rivers) 78-72 in Plainview Tuesday.

The Rebels (3-2 overall, 3-2 Three Rivers) led by 15 points in the second half.

“We really did play a nice game on defense,” Southland head coach Matt Webber said.

Josh Anderson led Southland with 27 points.
