The Hayfield boys basketball team let a lead slip away as it lost 69-61 at Pine Island (4-5 overall, 4-3 HVL) Tuesday.

The Vikings (3-6 overall, 2-4 HVL) led 38-26 at the half, but PI battled back. The game was tied with two minutes to go when PI pulled away.
