Vision 2020’s Community Pride and Spirit Committee is holding brainstorming event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at the ArtWorks Center. Austin residents are invited to attend for an evening of brainstorming creative new ideas and making connections that will help the committee fulfill its vision.
Sponsored by Vision 2020, the brainstorming event — which has been dubbed an “Ideation” — is designed to engage community members who want to bring creative new ideas and partnerships to the Community Pride & Spirit Committee of Vision 2020.
“Whether you want to share your own ideas for a one-time event or program or get involved with the committee on an ongoing basis, we would love to have you attend,” said subcommittee chair Erin McClimon in a press release. “There are so many positive things already being done in the community. We want to hear about them and then decide how to continue this vision.”
The vision of the Community Pride & Spirit Committee is to create a positive community spirit by fostering service, support, and mentorship programs geared toward improving the quality of life and opportunities for all citizens and to support physical beautification through neighborhood organizations working in collaboration with existing programs.
