Strong line of storms moves through ahead of high winds

A strong line of thunderstorms was moving through the Austin area and Mower County ahead high winds moving into the area.
The National Weather Service warned of the storms moving through starting shortly after 4 p.m. Some dime-sized hail was possible, as were high winds and heavy rain.
After the storms moved through, high winds were expected to blow into the area and stay through 6 p.m. Thursday.
Sustained northwest winds of 25 to 30 mph were expected with gusts reaching 40 to 50 mph. The highest winds were expected starting around midnight through Thursday afternoon.
The weather service warned that isolated power outages are possible.
