With winter near, the Austin Public Library is about to upgrade its heating systems.

On Monday, the Austin City Council accepted a $125,600 bid from Harty Mechanical to replace the library’s boiler. However, the council also approved an $11,000 deduct as it will reuse the existing automation system’s terminal unit controllers, making for an $114,600 project.

The city has $140,000 budgeted for the work.
