MINNEAPOLIS — Five Minnesota men accused of plotting to join the Islamic State group have pleaded not guilty to new charges against them.
A superseding indictment filed last month added a new count of conspiracy to commit murder outside the United States, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. All five men also face a count of conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
The men pleaded not guilty Monday in U.S. District Court.
