Miss Minnesota officials announced Kaylee Kalbow as Miss Austin 2016 and she was slated to go before the Austin City Council Monday.

She will represent the community at the 2016 Miss Minnesota Pageant and will compete for a grand prize package and the opportunity to represent Minnesota at the 2016 International Pageant. Her official banner will be presented by Mrs. Minnesota International 2015 Kate Howe and Mayor Tom Stiehm at the city council meeting on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Kaylee is the daughter of Amy Schaper and is a senior at Austin High School, and is employed at Maurice’s.
