American Family Insurance announced its two agencies in Austin have merged.

The merged agencies will operate under Lindsay Bires Agency Inc. at 101 Eighth Street NW, Suite 101, in Austin starting today, according to Mike Casper, American Family’s agency sales manager for the southeast Minnesota region.

Bires opened her first American Family office in Austin in July 2009.

Bires has been an Austin resident since March 2009. A native of Windom, Minnesota, Bires graduated from Minnesota State, Mankato in May of 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a double minor in business administration and management.

Lindsay and her husband, Toren, have a 9-month-old daughter, Ashlyn. Lindsay is a member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce and serves as a chamber ambassador.
