For the second straight game, the Austin girls soccer team used a late goal to pick up a shutout win.

Austin beat Faribault (1-2 overall, 0-2 Big Nine) 1-0 on the road Thursday.

Steph Chandler scored a goal with 20 minutes left in the game and Chloe Summerfield had 14 saves for Austin (4-2 overall, 2-1 Big Nine).

“The girls played a really good game,” Austin head coach Enrique Camarena-Corzo said. “They were physical. I was super proud of my team because they defended the goal with everything.”
