61-year-old drives through Hardees fence
A 61-year-old woman accidentally damaged Hardees property Monday when she drove through a fence on the south side of the new restaurant.
Richianne Burger, of Austin, was uninjured in the crash, which took place shortly after 10 a.m. Monday.
Burger told police the gas pedal inside her silver Pontiac Grand Prix got stuck as she was parking. Gold Cross Ambulance was called to the scene as emergency personnel first thought the accident was caused by a medical issue.
Hardees management have been notified about the crash.
Hardees opened on Sept. 8, about seven years after the last Hardees closed in Austin. The new store is the 113th such location for Northland Restaurant Group, based in Ea Claire, Wisconsin.
