Patricia M. Bauer, 66, of Lyle, Minnesota, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.
Patricia Marie Tabor was born Sept. 2, 1948, in Austin, Minnesota, to Wayne and Viola (Jennings) Tabor. She attended school at Queen of Angels and Pacelli. On Jan. 10, 1970, Pat was united in marriage to LaVerne Bauer Jr. at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin. The couple raised three children. Over the years, Pat and Vern lived in Rifle, Colorado, Casper, Wyoming, Belle Fourche, South Dakota, and Austin, Minnesota, before moving to Lyle, where they lived the last 30 years. A devoted homemaker, Pat treasured her family. Her children and her grandchildren were her passion, as well as taking care of her husband. She and Vern enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching her birds. She always said “her heart was her grandchildren.” Pat collected angels, and she felt her angels were always spiritually with her. She loved Christmas Eve with her family, and enjoyed following the Minnesota Vikings, playing softball, and bowling – she was a member of the “600 Club.” Pat will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
