MINNEAPOLIS — A Twin Cities coin and bullion dealer has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for orchestrating a $1.3 million fraud scheme.
Fifty-four-year-old Dennis Helmer of Farmington also was ordered Tuesday to pay restitution. Federal prosecutors say Helmer defrauded dozens of elderly victims.
