—33rd annual Mini Piggy Fun Run, 10:45 a.m.

—Independence Day Parade, 11 a.m.

—Free slides and rides by Badly’s Games, other bandshell park activities continue after the parade.

—Ice cream social at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2-4 p.m. — free parking on July 3 and 4.

—Austin Fire Department water wars behind the bandshell on Ninth Place SW, 2-5 p.m.

—Bean bags tourney north of the bandshell, 1 p.m. registration, 2 p.m. playing time. $10 per person. Bring your own partner. Call Shelley for more details at 507-440-0961.

—Bingo, presented by the Mower County veterans, at the Bandshell Community Park pavilion, 2-8 p.m.

 

Bandshell stage entertainment, 1-10 p.m.:

•LibertySeed Event, 1:45-2:45 p.m.

•Big Ben and the Brian’s, 3-4 p.m.

•Announcements/fireworks raffle drawings, 8-8:30 p.m.

Kids activity tent at Bandshell Park

•Everything Hobby and Impact Martial Arts and Fitness, 2-4 p.m.

•Activities, like making bracelets or flags, 4-6 p.m.

•Making liberty hats, along with coloring and a few other activities, 6-8 p.m.

 

 

Freedom Fest parade lineup

The July 4 parade route will stick to its 2014 route. The parade will start at Austin Utilities, 400 Fourth St. NE, and it will move down Fourth Avenue Northeast before turning south onto Main Street North and running to Bandshell Community Park. The Mini Piggy Fun Run is at 10:45 a.m. on the parade route before the parage starts at 11 a.m.
