The Austin Post 1216 VFW baseball team knocked off Winona 9-5 in a Sub-District elimination game Sunday.

After allowing two unearned runs in the bottom of the first inning, Post 1216 rallied for six runs in the third to go up 7-2. Riley Retterath capped the rally with a two-out, two-RBI single.

Winona had the bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the seventh when Jakob Crouch came up with a strikeout to end the game.
