Ordella Magdelna Rolfson, 93, of Austin, Minnesota, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.

Ordella was born in Austin on June 20, 1921, to John and Magdalena (Kline) Shaw. She attended grade school in Austin. Ordella was very active in sports in high school. She graduated Austin High School in 1939.

On Aug. 30, 1941, she married Kenneth Rolfson at Queen of Angels Catholic Church. To this union, two children were born; Jerome and Jeanne. Ordella worked as a librarian for Queen of Angles Catholic School for over 40 years.

Ordella was a member of Queen of Angles Catholic Church, where she was active in the Rosary Council. She was a 50 year member and past-president of the Austin Eagles Club and president of the Winona Catholic Women. Ordella enjoyed camping and sitting around the campfire with friends. She also liked reading and doing word search books.

Ordella is survived by her children, Jerome (Pam Bulger) Rolfson of Austin, Minnesota and Jeanne Rolfson of Austin, MInnesota; grandchildren, Lori (Darin) Rork of Clear Lake, Iowa, Kevin Darcy of New Richland, Minnesota; great-grandson, Cody Darcy of Freeborn, Minnesota; great-granddaughter, Heather Peterson of Austin, Minnesota; great-great-granddaughter Samantha Peterson of Austin, Minnesota; along with many nieces and nephews.

Ordella is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth on April 29, 2009, 3 siblings and 7 step-siblings.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Adam McMillian officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. at the church until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made to the Hormel Institute in honor of Ordella.
