GOLDEN VALLEY— Authorities say an intoxicated man was impaled in the leg when he fell from the side of a hot tub outside a Golden Valley home and a fence post went through his thigh.

The Star Tribune reports the incident happened late Saturday. Firefighters had to cut the post, and the victim was sent to the hospital with part of the wrought iron-style fence still in his leg.
