Bruce William Rindflesch, 65

Bruce William Rindflesch, 65, of Austin, Minnesota, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at his home, following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born Dec. 15, 1949, in Heron Lake, Minnesota, to Raymond and Leona Joyce (Leopold) Rindflesch. He was a graduate of Fulda High School. Bruce made his living as a union painter, working for various painting contractors in southern Minnesota. He worked for many years in the Mayo buildings in Rochester, retiring in 2004. Bruce was united in marriage to Nancy Hofmann in Dundee, Minnesota, on Dec. 16, 1967. The couple raised two children, Shana and Aaron. A member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Bruce also belonged to the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He had a passion for Chevrolet, John Deere, and the right to bear arms. Bruce had a mind for facts and a quick wit. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Rindflesch of Austin, Minnesota; his children: Shana (Roy) Daily of Northfield, Minnesota, and Aaron (Jodi) Rindflesch of Rochester, Minnesota; his grandchildren: Amanda, Bradley, Cole, Drew, Jacob, and Lucas; his mother Joyce Speth of Dundee, Minnesota; his brother Tom Rindflesch of Washington D.C.; his uncle Bill (Carol) Leopold of Willmar, Minnesota; his mother-in-law Ruth Hofmann of Fulda, Minnesota; sisters-in-law: Mary Jo Tucker, Lori (Pat) York, Jenny (Tom) Quam; one niece, nephews; cousins; step-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Rindflesch; step-father Gene Speth; and father-in-law Rupert Hofmann.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor Brian Krueger officiating. Friends may call at the Worlein Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 22, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Kinbrae Cemetery, Kinbrae, Minnesota, at a later date. Memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society, or recipient of donor’s choice.
