The community improvement initiative’s annual Summer Kickoff Concert will start at 5:30 p.m. Friday on Main Street between Second and Fourth Avenues with performances by Ventura Highway, Big Ben and the Brians, and the Austin High School Jazz ensemble.

“It’s nice to officially have a kickoff and invite people to come downtown, which is a great retail center for us, one of many,” Vision 2020 Director of Vision Creation Laura Helle said.
