ST. PAUL — Construction on Interstate 35E in Little Canada, Maplewood and St. Paul will cause a reduction in lanes and close a section of the road this week.
Beginning about 8 p.m. Wednesday, southbound I-35E will be only two lanes between Little Canada Road and University Avenue — a lane reduction that will remain in place until later this year, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Then on Friday, all northbound I-35E lanes will close from I-94 to Cayuga Street. Ramps will begin closing at 8 p.m., and the northbound interstate will close at 9 p.m. It will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
The northbound I-35E to Cayuga Street exit ramp will be closed until mid-June. Motorists can access Cayuga Street via westbound Maryland Avenue and southbound Jackson Street.
