‘The Good Lie’ to be shown Sunday

Learn about four Sudanese refugees and their struggle at St. Olaf Lutheran Church on Sunday.
St. Olaf Lutheran Church will present a free viewing of the movie “The Good Lie” with a panel discussion afterwards. The discussion will be led by Southern Minnesota Synod Director of Evangelical Mission Rev. Pete Reuss. There will be a special guest appearance by actress Kuoth Wiel. The movie and discussion will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday. The movie is rated PG-13 for some intense scenes.
“The Good Lie” is a 2014 American drama film written by Margaret Nagle, and directed by Philippe Falardeau. The movie tells the story of the Lost Boys of Sudan, four young Sudanese refugees who are helped by American woman Carrie Davis after they win a lottery for relocation to the United States. The movie is based off a true story.
