Mayo Clinic gives $185K to children’s museum

MANKATO — Mayo Clinic Health System has announced it’s giving $185,000 to the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota.
The donation will be used to pay for the cafe, courtyard and wellness initiatives at the museum’s new site in Mankato, which features 11,000 square-feet of indoor exhibit space.
The Free Press of Mankato reports the museum has served more than 60,000 visitors since it opened its first pilot site in 2009.
The museum’s grand opening celebration will take place on May 1.
