The Austin boys tennis team picked up a 5-2 win at Red Wing Thursday.

Colton Detwiler hung on to win 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 1 singles for the Packers (3-3 overall, 3-3 Big Nine) and Jeremy Olmsted won 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (7-2) at No. 2 singles.

“Colten played a very smart match and fought back after losing the first set to win a great singles match,” Austin head coach Jeff Anderson said. “Jeremy Olmsted was down 5-2 in the third set but showed a lot of grit coming back to win it in a tie breaker. I was really proud of the guys’ effort today.”
