MINNEAPOLIS — The Minneapolis police officer who was shot and wounded after responding to a burglary call over the weekend is thanking his colleagues and the community for their support.
The Minneapolis Police Department has released a video of Officer Jordan Davis talking about the “overwhelming” amount of encouragement he’s received since the shooting Saturday. Davis is at home with his right arm in a sling, recovering from his gunshot wound. His partner rushed him to North Memorial Medical Center after he was shot.
Davis says police officers who work overnight, as he does, don’t often see support from the community because they are dealing with “the worst of the worst.”
