Tom Henricks, 71, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 23, 2014.

Born and raised in Austin, Minnesota, to Fred and Thelma Henricks, Tom always had a smile, word of wisdom or a strong shoulder to lean on. Tom was an exceptional husband, father and grandfather. He will also be remembered as a wonderful son, brother and uncle. Tom will be missed by all, including his cherished friends and acquaintances.

Tom left his footprints in just about every U.S. state, overseeing construction of buildings for Home Depot, Phar-Mor, Minnesota Fabrics, Regency Centers and many others over the years. The impression he left on the people he worked with will remain long after the brick and mortar are gone.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Carmine; wonderful daughter Anna; and his brothers Herb and Phil.

Survivors include his son, Charlie; son-in-law, Rick Gunn; and grandson, Jared Day.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, at the Carmichael Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta Georgia 770-424-4924, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
