Blooming Prairie senior John Rumpza scored his 2,000th career point as the Awesome Blossoms cruised past Hayfield 79-59 in Hayfield Tuesday.

Rumpza finished with 31 points, 18 rebounds and three assists in the win for BP (12-10 overall).

Rumpza, who is BP’s all-time leading scorer, needed 21 points to get to 2,000 going into Tuesday’s game.

Cam Rutledge led the Vikings (9-14 overall) with 15 points.
