Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team wins share of SEC West crown

The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team wrapped up a share of its first SEC West title since the 2009-2010 season when it beat Hope Lutheran (4-21 overall, 3-15 SEC) 62-23 on the road Friday.
Ten different players scored in the win for the Athletics (18-8 overall, 16-4 SEC).
“It’s always one of your goals to win your conference,” LP head coach Dean DeBoer said. “Hopefully we’ll get to host a playoff game and hopefully we’ll win a playoff game. It’s nice to add a trophy to the trophy case, the guys have worked hard and they deserve it.”
The Athletics will open the postseason Thursday night.
