Bernard G. Anderson, 82, of Albert Lea, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Society.

Bernard G. Anderson was born June 10, 1932, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Leonard and Mary (Yaroshek) Anderson. He attended and graduated from Austin High School in 1950. Bernie worked at various retail businesses during his working years and later did cleaning jobs at various local establishments. He enjoyed camping, fishing, biking, picking berries and gathering mushrooms. Bernie was an avid reader and collector of many books. Watching the Minnesota Vikings was a favorite of his.

Bernie is survived by his son Mark (Kathy) Beer, and daughter Lisa (John) Freise and their children; sister Donna Cochran, Albert Lea, Minnesota; brother Keith (Clarice) Anderson, Topsham, Maine; sister-in-law Faye Anderson, Austin, Minnesota; and nieces: Debra (Tom) Nasby, Kathy Hanson, Terri (Dennis) Olson, Kelly (Joe) Jongbloedt, Tracey (Chris) Hanson and Cheri Sund; nephews: Troy Hanson, Doug (Gina) Anderson, Scott (Lisa) Anderson, Marshall Anderson, Kurt (Kelly) Anderson and Gene Anderson; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Bernie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Robert and Richard Anderson; great-nieces: Gabrielle Johnson and Jean Anderson.

Funeral services for Bernie will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev.
