The Austin girls basketball team beat Albert Lea 64-39 to sweep the season series from the Tigers (2-21 overall, 1-18 Big Nine) in AL Tuesday.

Shayley Vesel had 20 points to lead the Packers (10-13 overall, 8-11 Big Nine) and Kelsey Sederquest added 11 points.

“We played pretty good basketball all the way through,” Austin head coach Todd Johnson said. “We kind of took control of the game at the start of the second half. I couldn’t be prouder of the girls for a team win.”
