A hot pick for Valentine’s Day; CBS names painting event one of state’s top dates

The Austin ArtWorks Center is one of the best dates for parents on Valentine’s Day, according to online website CBS Minnesota’s Best of Home section.
The Uncork and Create class on Saturday, Feb. 14, was listed as one of the best Valentine’s Day dates for Saturday afternoon.
Couples can receive guided instruction on how to recreate a model painting during the Valentine’s Day session of “Uncork and Create” at the Austin ArtWorks Center. During the class, couples can sip wine supplied for an at-will donation and will enjoy making a masterpiece to take home to show the kids.
Cost per person is $40 with a $5 discount for AACA members. Class time is from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., which leaves plenty of time afterward for a romantic dinner nearby on Main Street.
