ST. PAUL — St. Paul police Wednesday fatally shot a man who drove his vehicle at officers, police said, and the NAACP immediately called for an independent investigation.
In a tweet, St. Paul police said police recovered a firearm at the scene. But police did not say whether the gun belonged to the man, who was suspected of sending threatening texts to a woman.
Officers were canvassing the area in search of witnesses late Wednesday afternoon, and anyone with information was asked to call police.
