Many people don’t get the opportunity to visit another country, but Thursday students from Hollandale Christian School will teach people about 20 different countries.

The Hollandale Christian School will have its Festival of Nations from 1 to 2 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The event will feature 20 different countries with artifacts from different cultures and various ethnic foods to sample.

The Festival of Nations is held every other year in the fifth- and sixth-grade classroom. Each student picked their own country to study last spring.

The students have been working on their reports since the beginning of the school year. They were assigned a different topic each week to research on their chosen country.

On Thursday, the students will each be given a booth area to display their report, drawings and collections from their country. Every area will have a food sampling native to the country, a stamp for visitors’ passports, and a student dressed native to the country. The public is invited to come from 1 to 2 p.m. and from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
