Graduation
—Kelsey Poshusta of Adams graduated in December from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin, with a B.S. in applied math and computer science.
—Megan Hockens of Le Roy graduated in December from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin, with a B.S. retail merchandising and management.
Dean’s List
—Alexandria Neumann of Austin made the fall semester dean’s list at St. Cloud State University. She is majoring in Elementary/K-6 Education in the School of Education.
—Kristen Carlson of Austin was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2014-2015 academic year at Augustana College in South Dakota.
—Samantha Bergstrom Ivers of Austin was named to the dean’s list for academic excellence in the College of Nursing during the fall 2014 semester at South Dakota State University.
—Kelli Josephine Naatz of Blooming Prairie was named to the dean’s list for academic excellence in the College of Agriculture and Biological Sciences during the fall 2014 semester at South Dakota State University.
—Matthew Schmitz, a Paramedic Technician program student from Adams, was named to Western Technical College President’s List of High Distinction for fall semester 2014.
—Zachary Wessels, a freshman and computer science major student from Austin, was named to the University of Sioux Falls dean’s list for fall semester 2014.
—Thomas Aase, a junior and business administration major student from Austin, was named to the University of Sioux Falls dean’s list for fall semester 2014.
—Gabrial Kasak, a sophomore and business administration major student from Austin, was named to the University of Sioux Falls dean’s list for fall semester 2014.
—Taylor Miland, a junior and double major in music and art student from Austin, was named to the University of Sioux Falls dean’s list for fall semester 2014.
Scholarships
—Hannah Perez, daughter of Jennifer and Ruben Perez of Austin, has been selected to receive a Dean’s Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minnesota. She has been recognized for her academic accomplishments and outstanding leadership abilities. Perez’s planned major field of study is elementary education.
Other
—Laura Meany of Rose Creek, majoring in Agricultural Studies, successfully completed fall 2014 as a member of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Ambassadors. This group of students plays an important role in the recruitment activities of the college.
