The Austin boys basketball team lost 64-60 at Mankato West (7-4 overall, 5-3 Big Nine) in Mankato Saturday.

The Scarlets, who are ranked No. 10 in Class AAA, used a 7-0 run to boost their lead to 49-40 in the first half and they were able to close out the Packers (5-7 overall, 5-3 Big Nine).

“West played real well tonight and they moved the ball really well against our zone,” Austin head coach Kris Fadness said. “We just couldn’t get them to turn it over tonight.”
